The events MAAM hosts are designed to be fun, to create an opportunity for students and others in the community to socialize and spend time with each other, and to raise funds for our scholarship program.

Annual Kick-A-Thon Fundraiser
1000 Kicks!
Grand Prize $100 cash
Second prize $50 cash
Minimum raised to participate $25
Everyone who gets pledges of $25 or more will receive chances to win the prizes. For the first $25, you receive 3 tickets towards the drawing. For every additional $10, you receive an additional ticket - the more you raise, the more chances to win.
We will attempt 1000 kicks - Bring your pledge money and forms to the dojo the day of the event!
Lightsaber Seminar
Channel the force and light up the dojo as we learn Japanese sword techniques with Jedi Lightsabers!
All who register will receive a lightsaber to keep!
Registration will be limited to 45 participants
Cost: $25 per person / $40 per family
Recommended age for this seminar is 6 yrs and older
Race to the Monument
A great way to help MAAM, a local non-profit organization, and get a race in too!. We at start at Fallen Timbers Mall near the Barnes and Noble store, and run on paved roads and bike trails to the Battle of Fallen Timbers Monument and back.

Women's Self Defense Seminar
Join Sempai Shelly Blanco of the Ohio Martial Arts Center for a high-energy, hands-on, self defense training. Learn the most effective techniques and practice them in a safe, controlled setting. Build confidence while having fun!
